MRCOOL Product & Manufacturer Warranty Policy
How MRCOOL manufacturer warranty coverage works, what registration requires, and which costs a manufacturer warranty does not automatically include.
Effective August 25, 2026
What this policy covers
More Heat More Cool sells MRCOOL HVAC equipment and related products. Manufacturer warranty coverage is provided according to the warranty applicable to the specific product purchased and is subject to MRCOOL's current warranty terms, requirements, exclusions, and registration requirements.
Manufacturer Warranty
MRCOOL products may include manufacturer warranty coverage for certain parts and/or compressors.
Warranty coverage varies by product, model, installation type, and other manufacturer requirements.
Customers should review the manufacturer's warranty documentation applicable to their specific equipment.
More Heat More Cool does not independently extend, modify, replace, or increase the manufacturer's written warranty unless a separate written warranty is specifically provided by More Heat More Cool at the time of purchase.
Warranty Registration
Certain manufacturer warranties may require product registration within a specified period following purchase or installation.
The buyer is responsible for completing any required manufacturer warranty registration on time.
Customers should retain:
- Original purchase receipt
- Order confirmation
- Model numbers
- Serial numbers
- Installation documentation
- Installer information
- Warranty registration confirmation
Failure to satisfy manufacturer registration requirements may affect available warranty coverage.
Installation Requirements
MRCOOL manufactures different types of HVAC equipment with different installation requirements.
Certain products are specifically designed and marketed for DIY installation, while other equipment may require installation, startup, commissioning, or service by a qualified or appropriately licensed professional.
The customer is responsible for reviewing and following the installation and warranty requirements applicable to the specific product purchased.
Products must be installed and operated according to manufacturer instructions and applicable laws, codes, permitting requirements, and regulations.
Proper Equipment Selection & Matching
HVAC equipment must be properly selected, sized, matched, installed, and commissioned.
The buyer is responsible for confirming that equipment purchased is appropriate for the intended application unless More Heat More Cool has separately agreed in writing to design or specify the system for that application.
Purchasing equipment that is incorrectly sized, incompatible, improperly matched, or inappropriate for the application does not constitute a product defect.
What Manufacturer Warranty May Not Cover
Unless expressly provided by the applicable manufacturer's warranty, customers should not assume that manufacturer warranty coverage includes expenses such as:
- Labor
- Diagnostic charges
- Service calls
- Refrigerant
- Refrigerant recovery or charging
- Shipping or freight
- Return shipping
- Removal of defective equipment
- Installation of replacement equipment or parts
- Electrical work
- Permits
- Crane or lifting services
- Travel charges
- Additional materials
- Modifications required to the home or existing HVAC system
Coverage is determined by the manufacturer's warranty applicable to the particular product.
Warranty Claims
If you believe a product has a manufacturing defect, contact us with:
- Your name
- Order number
- Product model number
- Serial number
- Installation date
- Installer information when applicable
- Description of the problem
- Photographs or video when appropriate
- Diagnostic information when available
Additional documentation or professional diagnosis may be required to process a manufacturer warranty claim.
Warranty Replacement Parts
Manufacturer authorization may be required before replacement equipment or parts can be provided.
The issuance of a replacement part does not necessarily mean that labor, shipping, refrigerant, diagnosis, installation, or other associated costs are covered.
Shipping Damage Is Not a Warranty Claim
Products damaged during transportation are handled under our Shipping & Freight Delivery Policy and applicable carrier procedures.
Customers should inspect equipment immediately upon delivery and report shipping damage promptly.
Do not wait until installation day to inspect delivered equipment.
Improper Installation or Use
Manufacturer warranty coverage may be affected or denied when problems result from circumstances including improper installation, improper wiring, incorrect refrigerant procedures, incorrect equipment matching, misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, improper maintenance, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
The manufacturer's applicable warranty terms ultimately determine warranty eligibility.
No Additional Warranty Created
Statements made on our website describing manufacturer warranties are intended to summarize available manufacturer coverage and do not replace the manufacturer's actual written warranty.
If there is a conflict between a website summary and the applicable manufacturer's written warranty, the manufacturer's written warranty controls with respect to manufacturer-provided coverage.
