Online Store Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to purchases from the More Heat More Cool online store, covering product selection, installation, pricing, order acceptance, returns, and governing law.

Effective August 25, 2026

Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the More Heat More Cool online store.

By accessing our online store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the policies incorporated into them, including our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping & Freight Delivery Policy, and applicable warranty policies.

1. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, specifications, pricing, availability, and compatibility information.

Manufacturers may change product specifications, appearance, packaging, components, documentation, or model information without notice.

Customers should verify critical specifications before purchasing.

2. HVAC Equipment Requires Proper Selection

Heating and cooling equipment is not universally interchangeable.

Proper system selection may depend upon factors including:

  • Building size and construction
  • Climate
  • Heating and cooling load
  • Existing equipment
  • Ductwork
  • Electrical service
  • Fuel type
  • Refrigerant
  • Equipment capacity
  • Efficiency ratings
  • Indoor and outdoor equipment compatibility
  • Line-set requirements
  • Controls and thermostats
  • Local codes and regulations

Customers are responsible for determining that products purchased are appropriate for their intended application unless More Heat More Cool separately agrees in writing to provide system-design or equipment-selection services.

4. Equipment Compatibility

The buyer is responsible for confirming that indoor units, outdoor units, coils, air handlers, furnaces, thermostats, line sets, accessories, electrical components, and other equipment are compatible.

Customer ordering mistakes are not considered manufacturer defects or shipping errors.

Eligible returns resulting from incorrect customer selection are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Installation

Some MRCOOL products are designed for DIY installation while other HVAC equipment may require qualified or licensed professional installation.

The buyer is responsible for determining and complying with the installation requirements applicable to the specific product.

Installation must comply with:

  • Manufacturer instructions
  • Applicable building codes
  • Electrical codes
  • Mechanical codes
  • Refrigerant regulations
  • Permit requirements
  • Licensing requirements
  • Other applicable federal, state, and local laws

6. Refrigerant & Electrical Work

HVAC equipment can involve high-voltage electricity, pressurized refrigerant, combustible fuels, condensate drainage, and other potentially hazardous systems.

Customers should not perform work for which they lack the legally required licensing, certification, equipment, or knowledge.

Where required, refrigerant work must be performed by an appropriately certified person.

7. Permits & Inspections

Permits and inspections may be required for HVAC installation depending upon the customer's location.

Unless expressly included in a separately purchased installation service, the buyer is responsible for determining and satisfying applicable permitting and inspection requirements.

8. Pricing

Prices may change without notice.

The price displayed when an order is submitted generally applies to that order, subject to correction of obvious pricing, technical, or listing errors to the extent permitted by law.

We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order when a material pricing or listing error has occurred, subject to applicable law.

9. Payment

Orders must be paid using an accepted payment method.

Orders may be subject to payment verification and fraud screening.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel transactions that we reasonably believe are unauthorized or fraudulent, subject to applicable law and payment-provider requirements.

10. Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax may be collected based upon the transaction, shipping destination, and applicable tax laws.

Customers remain responsible for taxes or other governmental charges that legally apply to their purchase but are not collected at checkout, where applicable.

11. Order Acceptance

An order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of an order.

Orders may be reviewed for payment authorization, product availability, shipping restrictions, pricing errors, fraud concerns, or other legitimate issues before fulfillment.

12. Order Cancellation

Contact us immediately if you need to cancel an order.

Cancellation is not guaranteed after an order enters processing, fulfillment, or shipping.

Orders already shipped are subject to our Return & Refund Policy and Shipping & Freight Delivery Policy.

13. Shipping & Freight

Large HVAC equipment may ship by LTL freight.

Customers are responsible for inspecting freight upon delivery, documenting visible damage, retaining packaging when damage exists, and promptly reporting shipping problems.

Complete requirements are contained in our Shipping & Freight Delivery Policy.

14. Returns

Eligible customer-requested returns must be requested within 10 calendar days of confirmed delivery and satisfy the requirements of our Return & Refund Policy.

Eligible customer-requested returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, the buyer is responsible for return shipping and freight costs.

Installed, used, modified, or otherwise non-returnable equipment cannot be returned as described in our Return & Refund Policy.

15. Manufacturer Warranty

Manufacturer warranty coverage is determined by the warranty applicable to the specific product.

Warranty coverage does not automatically include labor, diagnostics, refrigerant, freight, installation, permits, or other expenses unless expressly included in the applicable warranty.

16. Installation Services Are Separate

Unless an online product listing specifically states that installation is included, equipment purchased through our online store is sold as equipment only.

Purchase of equipment does not automatically include installation by More Heat More Cool.

If installation services are separately purchased, additional agreements, pricing, warranties, terms, geographic restrictions, and conditions may apply.

17. Product Performance

Published efficiency ratings and manufacturer performance specifications are based upon applicable testing procedures and specified operating conditions.

Actual energy consumption, operating costs, comfort, efficiency, capacity, and savings vary according to installation, climate, building characteristics, equipment sizing, ductwork, thermostat settings, maintenance, energy prices, usage, and other factors.

We do not guarantee a specific reduction in utility bills or energy consumption unless expressly stated in a separate written guarantee.

18. Customer Information

Customers agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, contact, and payment information.

Customers are responsible for additional expenses caused by incorrect information they provide, where permitted by law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, More Heat More Cool will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, installation, misuse, incompatibility, or operation of products purchased through our online store.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

20. Manufacturer Information

MRCOOL trademarks, product names, specifications, warranties, images, and related manufacturer information belong to their respective owners.

More Heat More Cool's sale of a manufacturer's product does not authorize More Heat More Cool to alter the manufacturer's warranty or make representations on the manufacturer's behalf beyond those authorized by the manufacturer.

21. Policy Updates

We may update these Terms and our store policies from time to time.

The version applicable to a transaction will generally be the version in effect when the customer's order was placed, except where otherwise required by law.

22. Governing Law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Mandatory consumer protections applicable to a customer's transaction remain unaffected.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
